Golf is a great card game that challenges young to old. With a crafty strategy and a bit of planning, you may be able to have an opponent begging for a mulligan. Work to lower your score in every round and you may just end up becoming a legend in this multi-player card game. Introduction: Learning to play golf is quite easy. Just like the outdoor game of golf, you win by receiving the lowest overall score at the end of the game. Brief Game Play: Evver's game of Golf guides you through the rules and flow of the game, so you can easily begin playing. The basic principle is to replace high valued cards with low valued cards. Wild cards are worth negative 5 points, all other cards are worth their face value. If you would like to just start, feel free, you cannot go wrong. Detailed Game Play: When the game begins, each player is dealt 9 cards in a 3 x 3 square. During your first move, you are allowed to reveal two cards, and draw a single card from either the deck or discard piles. The drawn card may be placed in any position, whether it is revealed or not. The game progresses as each player draws a single card and replaces another card. If a card is drawn from the deck pile, but is not useful, it may be discarded. A card which is drawn from the discard pile must be played. Scoring: Games are scored as a sum of each individual round of Golf. Each round is scored by summing the face value of each card, with Wild cards valued at negative 5 points. When three cards are aligned in either a horizontal or vertical row, the row is eliminated and the whole row is scored at zero. Once a row has been eliminated, it cannot be played anymore during that round. Other Variations: Several other variations of the game rules are detailed by the very informative card rules site, Pagat. Currently, Golf is only available as a local game via the game console. Please launch the game console, then start Golf.
